The Photographer-in-Residence program at the Westborough Public Library was created as part of the Westborough Center for History and Culture in 2018. Brandin Tumeinski served as the first Photographer-in-Residence from 2018-2019 and was succeeded by Adway Wadekar from 2019-2020.
Photographs, letters, diaries, maps, administrative documents, scrapbooks. Papers and records relating to Westborough history collected by Charles H. Reed and later his daughter, Rachel Deering. Some of the items form the core of the book collection and the Genealogies of Westborough Families collection.
The collection contains images gathered during the “Westborough: Your Town – Your History” Scanning Day held on February 4, 2017. The Westborough Public Library asked residents to bring in historical and cultural items relating to Westborough for it to scan and digitize. Printed material includes posters, plans, and newspaper articles relating to the event. The event was made possible by a Common Heritage Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
